Hello, again! Wow, how is it already summer here in California? Since we last saw you on the blog, we have been working hard to develop the exciting new features you’ve been asking for.
In case you missed it, we recently added keyboard shortcuts for all Boomerang users and introduced the Premium plan. Thanks to Lifehacker and The Next Web for the love!
To the users that have been eye-ing the “Coming Soon” notice for CRM integration — wait no longer. As of today, Boomerang now supports CRM software integration for Premium users.
That means you can spend more time kicking ass and less time doing painful data entry work just to keep your Salesforce account up to date.
Many CRM software companies have a ‘BCC dropbox’ feature: when you BCC the address they give you, the email you send will be associated with existing customer records under the recipient’s email address.
Now with Boomerang Premium, you can automatically log emails that you send into any CRM software that has BCC integration, including Salesforce, SugarCRM, Zoho, Highrise, Pipedrive, Capsule, and more.
You can choose to log all of the emails you send or only emails that you Boomerang when sending. You’ll never have to worry about forgetting to use BCC dropbox on a critical customer e-mail again.
Here is how to enable this feature in Boomerang:
1. In your inbox, click on the Boomerang icon in the top-right corner.
2. Click on Settings.
3. Under Premium Settings, check the box marked ‘Enable CRM integration.
4. Select your CRM software from the drop-down menu.
5. Enter your CRM’s BCC address.
6. Pick the option you prefer – BCC-ing all emails or only emails you Boomerang.
7. Click OK, and you’re set!
In case you don’t know where to find the BCC address you need, we’ve got you covered with instructions for all of the major CRM software – just hit the question mark button next to the BCC address field in the menu above.
Once you have enabled this feature, the BCC dropbox email address will be included in the BCC field of the appropriate emails. When you compose or reply to an email, you can click on ‘BCC’ in the ‘to’ field to expand it and see that email address there.
